1,000,000 Kids Impacted by Mines in Iraq

Nearly one million Iraqi children are affected by the presence of landmines with hundreds having been maimed or killed by exploded cluster bombs since 1991, a UN statement acknowledged.

No deberíamos utilizar los cálculos que publican los medios de comunicación, como los de Iraq Body Count o Costs of War. Es una gran injusticia con los cientos de miles de víctimas iraquíes de la catástrofe de Iraq. GICJ and BRussells Tribunal coordinated the work of more than 300 NGOs and submitted to the 22nd session of the UN Human Rights Council reports covering the human rights situation in Iraq. the 22nd session of the Human Rights Council takes place in the United Nations in Geneva from 25 February to 22 March 2013.

For two decades, Iraqi children have been subjected to grave violations of human rights. Due to decades of war, foreign occupation and international sanctions, Iraq has turned into one of the worst places for children in the Middle East.
